Trata do resgate histórico da retomada do Hospital Escola São Francisco de Assis pelas professoras da Escola de Enfermagem Anna Nery - EEAN/UFRJ, em 1988, quando a Cidade do Rio de Janeiro foi inundada pelas chuvas, resultando em desabrigados e pânico na população. A implantação de um MODELO ASSISTENCIAL inovador, pensado pelas docentes, manteve a Escola à frente da administração do hospital, criando um fato sem precedente para a enfermagem brasileira e um espaço político para a EEAN dentro e fora da Universidade.

<p>It is a historical rescue of the taking back of the Saint Francis Hospital School by the teachers of the Anna Nery School of Nursing (EEAN/UFRJ), in 1988, when the city of Rio de Janeiro was overflowded by torrential rains with unsheltered people and panic in the city. The establishment of new assistance model proposed by the nurses teachers keeps up the school in the head of the situation reagarding the administration of the hospital. There is no precedent for it in Brazil and for the brazilian nursing. And it is now a new political space for the School of Nursing wthin and out of the University</p>
